Springtime

Among crisp mornings of a lingering winter; spring is around the corner. Nature tantalizes with the aroma of daffodils, crocus and grape hyacinth blooming. Complex as Nature is, there is a calm rhythm to this transition. A quiet and discreet awakening of Nature exists as winter gives way to spring. Spring is…renewal…fresh beginnings…a re-birthing.

Ask people for their opinion of spring and you may have various responses. This year’s mindset or springtime “buzz” seems to surround personal change—whether related to vocation and goal setting, transforming personal appearance, or simply simplifying a lifestyle—to best enjoy the pleasures of life.

Much like a child eager for Christmas Day, I’ve been watching for spring to reveal its newness. I was ecstatic when green began to pop through the ground covers, forming buds that now reveal the bright beauty of fresh beginnings. It will be another month before spring is in full bloom, and I’m hoping for a showcase season in dazzling array of colors and hues.

While Nature may still wear her winter coat in your area, spring will come. The season of fresh beginnings, renewal, and restoration always does.
